OVERVIEW
SimGrid turns a year old!
For this event, we're going back to where we began with a copy of our Launch Event 12 months ago almost to the day; except even bigger this time. We're heading back to Suzuka for another supersize grid.
50 GT3's, 50 GT4's, a pit stop and 90 minutes of racing - Expect absolute madness...
With two splits available (and the potential for more), you've got your chance to be one of 200 people on the grid to celebrate our anniversary!
SIGN UP PROCESS
First-come-first-serve event. Register quickly to secure your space on the grid. Once the grid is full, you can register as a reserve and then take any available grid slots should drivers drop out or be absent.
WHAT SPLIT SHOULD I CHOOSE?
The split and class you choose to race in is ultimately your decision, but we want to ensure that drivers are racing where they can be competitive and are of similar experience to those around them. A large gap in pace and experience can cause problems on track. We highly encourage drivers to choose their class and split carefully. Split 1 is generally home to the "aliens" and most experienced sim racers, those who are several seconds off "alien" pace or newer to ACC should start with the lower splits.
EVENT TIMETABLE
Practice - 20:00 CEST
Drivers Briefing - 20:30 CEST
Qualifying - 20:40 CEST (15 minutes for each class)
Race - 21:10 CEST
PIT STOPS
There will be one mandatory pit stop in which a tyre change is required.
STEWARDING
Split 1 will have both live and post-race stewarding. All splits will have post-race stewarding using the `Protest Forms` channel on discord. Please read the rules to learn about the incident report process, and check out our website guide here for full instructions.
RULES
CUSTOM LIVERIES
The use of custom liveries made outside of the game is permitted in this event, but please bear in mind that they are not officially supported by the game developers and their use can induce significant lag for the user. To avoid the significant lag that custom liveries bring, we suggest that drivers run the livery but without the .png file. Do not run the liveries of other drivers under any circumstances.
WITHDRAW AND RESERVES
If you are signed up but then unavailable to attend, please click `manage registration` and then click `leave event` so that your slot will be given to the first listed reserve driver.
