SEXY SIXTIES CLASSIC RACING

Hosted by Old Folks Racing AMS2 on PC Followers Only
General Rules
Keep it casual. This is a game, and it's supposed to be fun. We are NOT a "hardcore" league!

Folks are encouraged to join the voice channels on race nights to share friendly banter between sessions, or the occasional "sorry" if there is an accidental incident (it happens!).

Respect the Track Limits: Stay within the boundaries of the track. Cutting corners or using parts of the track that give an unfair advantage is generally frowned upon.
Avoid Contact: Sim racing is not contact sport. Deliberate ramming or causing accidents is against the spirit of fair competition.

Follow Blue Flags: If you’re being lapped by faster cars, it’s courteous to let them pass safely without impeding their race.

Be Predictable: Make your intentions clear when racing. Sudden changes in direction or unpredictable moves can cause accidents.

Qualifying Etiquette: During qualifying sessions, give space to other drivers. Don’t block a car on a fast lap.

Race Starts: Be cautious at the start of the race. Many races are lost in the first corner, so it’s important to be patient.

Overtaking: Only overtake when it’s safe to do so. If someone is overtaking you, don’t block them aggressively.

Acknowledging Mistakes: If you make a mistake and it affects another racer, it’s good sportsmanship to acknowledge it.

Communicate: Use the community’s voice chat to communicate with other drivers, especially in situations where you need to coordinate actions on the track.
Have Fun: Remember that everyone is here to enjoy the experience. Keep the competition friendly and supportive.
Absolutely NO ONE is permitted to attack, berate, talk down to, or yell at other drivers. If there is an issue, please PM one of the admins.
All drivers must take it upon themselves to race cleanly. No contact between cars should happen on track and as a league member you are responsible for your own awareness and car control. Accidents can happen!
Be aware when re-joining the track. Always check mirrors/Mini-map to avoid an accident.
When leaving the pits be aware of approaching drivers.
Respect blue flags. Do not race faster cars!
Deliberately crashing into another car will result in being banned from league events!
Battling and Passing Etiquette
Do not be overly aggressive when trying to pass another driver.
Do not force another car off the track by leaving too little room on corner entry or exit. If the other car is alongside you when going into a corner (at the turn-in point*), or when exiting a corner, you must adjust your line to avoid contact and to not force the other car off the track. Being sufficiently 'alongside' to warrant being left room is generally judged as the attacking car's nose being alongside or ahead of the defending car's rear wheels.
On straights, if another driver has any part of their car alongside your car, you must respect their position on the track and avoid making any movement into the other car.
Weaving and blocking is not allowed. You can make a defensive move to the inside line to defend your position but multiple moves left and right is not acceptable!

Qualifying Etiquette
In qualifying, it is your responsibility to find free space on the track when starting a flying lap. A car on a flying lap does not have to yield for a faster car approaching from behind. However if you are in Discord chat you may ask politely to pass.
If you are on an in- or out-lap or a recharge lap, you must let faster cars pass without blocking. Stay out of the way of drivers who are on a hot lap.
If on a hot lap please use your car lights so other racers can see you are on a hot lap.
OFR will not tolerate anyone being abusive, shouting or being discriminatory towards another driver!
Banter is of cause encouraged and is part of what makes OFR fun.
Be nice - Help others - and most of all have fun.
