FRL 🎮 • BMW M2 FESTIVE CUP 🎄

🕒 Event Schedule (UK Time)

• Practice: 7:30pm - 60 minutes
• Qualifying: 8:30pm - 15 minutes
• Race: approximately 8:50pm - 60 minutes

🏁 Race Format

• Single make: BMW M2 only.
• Grid: Set by qualifying fastest lap times.
• Mandatory Stop: One mandatory stop for a tyre change only. Must be completed in the pit window 20:00 → 40:00 (minutes into the race). The stop must include a tyre change — Open fuel strategy.
• Objective: The mid-race tyre stop combined with the pit window encourages clean starts and reduces overly aggressive opening laps. Please plan your strategy to use the pit window as required.
• Finish: Race classification by laps completed, then total time (standard ACC logic). Drivers must complete 75% of the leader’s laps to be eligible for classification/PR points.
• Starts & Restarts: Please take care on the start. Server will only be restarted in the event of server setup error or mass disconnections.

🌧 Weather & Track

• FRL usually forecasts real weather but as the circuit is in England in December we have elected to fix the temperature to a more realistic value. The forecast will be determined closer to the time.
• FRL will do what they can to ensure an optimum track but the real forecast will be used and we cannot help the rain I am afraid.

🧰 Qualifying Rules (15m)

• Traditional session. Multiple laps permitted.
• Respect slow drivers on the out lap; avoid impeding.
• Any driver judged by stewards to have intentionally impeded a flying lap may be penalised (time penalties or grid demotion).
• No overtaking another car on a flying lap.
• If you encounter a slower car and it holds you up you need to back off, create a gap and go again. Try to anticipate this.
• No corner cutting to gain an advantage. This includes on the outlap to gain track position.
• Post Race Penalties can be given for violating these rules.

🛠 Pit & Tyre Rules

• The mandatory tyre change must occur in the pit lane within the 20:00 → 40:00 window.
• Pit entry & exit must follow the pit speed limiter rules WHICH WILL BE SET TO MANUAL — as well as the pit entry and exit rules.

🧑‍⚖️  Stewarding & Incident Reporting

• Report process: Post any incidents in the FRL Discord channel which will be announced post race. Drivers have until the end of the following day (uk time) to provide all relevant information ℹ️
• It is mandatory to supply footage for reports. Even if someone else has raised it, you must be able to supply footage if a steward asks for it. Penalties will apply for those who cannot.
• Steward review window: Stewards will aim to review reports within 24–48 hours. Appeal window: 12 hours after steward decision.

• Appeal findings are final. Repeated poor behaviour may result in bans from FRL events

🎥 Broadcast & Streaming

• FRL may broadcast the race live on FRL YouTube pending the availability of a commentator

🧾 Entry, Sign-up & Eligibility

• Sign-up via SimGrid event page
• Following FRL is mandatory.
• Joining the FRL discord is mandatory  due to all pre and post race communication being used on the platform.
• This is a single-event competition. Entry is open to all. There is room at the inn 🐑.

⚙ Technical Settings (Server)

• Platform: ACC Crossplay (PS/Xbox)
• Assists: Steering assist and Pit Limiter Assist will be turned off for this race!
• Server Capacity: Max 40 on server to ensure all drivers systems can cope.
• Fuel & Tyres: As per server preset (no fuel refuelling required but optional and probably recommended for the mandatory stop). Check the event page for final server settings.
