Race rules:
- At DSRT, every on-track incident is reviewed to maintain fair and respectful competition. Incidents are classified and penalized based on their severity and impact.
- This is only a small less detailed version of the full rulebook that can be found in our discord.
Qualifying:
- During qualifying we're using the private qualifying option, this means everyone is solo on track.
Overtaking / Defending:
- The overtaking driver is responsible for ensuring a clean pass.
- Once alongside, leave at least a carβs width of space for your opponent.
- Dive bombs and late, desperate moves are penalized.
- When defending, you may move once to protect your line β weaving or moving in the braking zone is forbidden.
- If you make contact or push someone off, give the position back voluntarily.
Flags:
- Green flag:
Track is clear, start or resume racing.
- Yellow flag:
There is an incident up ahead. Reduce your speed to avoid the possibility to crash.
Overtaking under yellow is not allowed and will be penalized.
- Blue flag:
A car that receives a blue flag is not allowed to block or defend the car behind. However it is not mandatory to reduce speed and let the guy behind past
- White flag:
Final lap or slow vehicle ahead.
- Checkered flag:
Race over β drive safely to finish. Do not crash into each other after the finish, this will be penalized.
Multi class:
Multi-class races involve cars of different speed categories (for example, Hypercar and GT3).
Because of this, both faster and slower cars have shared responsibilities:
- The faster car must make a safe and clean overtake.
- The slower car must remain predictable and avoid blocking or sudden moves.
There should be mutual respect and predictability β no one is exempt from clean racing standards.
Normally it is best for the slower class car to keep their line and let the faster class car pass.
Incidents involving a faster car class and a slower car class will be handled the same as same class incidents.
Please be aware that GT3 cars have abs and can brake later than Hypercar or LMP2.
Game applied penalties:
Penalties applied by the game are not to be removed by the admins.
incident ruling:
Each incident is categorized as minor, moderate, or major depending on the level of danger, intent, and consequence.
Stewards assess every case individually, taking into account context and driver behavior.
-
Type A β Minor:
Small mistakes with limited or no impact on others.
Examples: light contact, unintentional off-track with no gain.
Typical penalties: warning, racing incident or time penalty ( 5-10 sec)
-
Type B β Moderate:
Clear driving errors that significantly affect another driver.
Examples: dive bombs, contact causing another car to spin.
Typical penalties: time penalty (10 - 30 sec)
-
Type C β Major:
Reckless or intentional actions that cause heavy damage or endanger others.
Examples: retaliation, brake checks, or unsafe rejoins leading to collisions.
Typical penalties: stop-and-go penalties, disqualification, league removal or in extreme cases a ban.
Stewards may increase or reduce penalties according to the specific situation and are free to combine penalties when multiple violations occur.
