Welcome back to ARL Sundays. This season we’re hopping back in the Porsche Cup car for an exciting Carrera Cup challenge. This will be a 5 round championship with 2 classes, Pro and AM. Please sign up in whichever class you think your skills are suited to. We will have a pre-season race to determine correct classification. Each race will have 1 mandatory 25sec fixed pitstop for fuel. Qualifying will consist of a 1-lap format. Round 3 will be a 75 minute race worth double points.
Race day consists of:
Practice: 30 minute open practice. Only 6 sets of tires for the whole race weekend.
Qualy: 10 minute, 1-lap Qualy format. First 5 minutes are for Pro class. Last 5 minutes for AM class. Each driver gets 1 hot lap attempt. If you invalidate please return to pits. Drivers caught violating Qualy rules will receive significant penalties.
Race: 60 minute race(75 min for Rd 3) with 1 mandatory 25 sec pitstop for fuel. Tires optional
Qualy clarification:
Qualy will start with 10 minutes on the clock. Pro class heads on track immediately and starts creating a gap in Sector 3 for the start of the hot lap.(Remember you want to create enough gap to get a full speed start on your hot lap). If you invalidate on your hot lap please return to pits. After completing your valid lap please return to pits, even if time remains in your Qualy session. AMs can start lining up at the pit lane exit at the 6 minute mark. At the 5 minute mark, the AM class is allowed on track. Same qualy rules apply. Any driver violating these rules will receive significant penalties.
Optional car colors:
Pro: Main color red 240 Glossy
AM: Main color white 341 Glossy
Asking all drivers to create a custom livery with the majority of the car matching the main color matching above. Secondary colors and LED lighting is up to you. Not mandatory but should make it easier to know different classes on track.
We ask that all drivers stream or record Qualy and the race in case you’re involved in an incident. Tickets will open 12 hours after each race. The ticket reporting process can be found on ARL discord. Remember we’re all here to have fun, no bashing in the discord public chats. Any incidents can be handled with a ticket or a personal message. So bring your skills and good vibes for what should be a competitive series.
