welcome to the driven minds lmgt3 challenge season three powered by coach dave delta
a little change of format for season three. we will be splitting the field onto gold and silver classes so there will be prizes up for stakes all the way through the field to keep the racing closer. please make sure you have read and understood the following information.
There is no minimum entry requirement with regards to licences for the LMGT3 challenge but you MUST be available for the Classification round on Monday 22nd September
Overall class champions will have a proper trophy engraved with their name on sent out to their home address. At the end of the season drivers will be able to vote for their Driver of the Championship who will receive a personalised GRDC mug!
Classification Round
So we can get a good idea of everyones pace, consistency and race craft there will be a 2 part classification event at 2 different track.
- Track 1: Portimao
- 5 minute joining practice
- 30 minute private qualifying - you must complete at least 7 valid laps & the average laptime taken from your 5 fastest laps will count
- 20 minute race
- Track 2: Sebring
- 5 minute joining practice
- 30 minute private qualifying - you must complete at least 7 valid laps & the average laptime taken form your 5 fastest laps will count
- 20 minute race
Championship Rounds
- 1 drop round (includes both races)
- 4 sign outs (1 race = 1 sign out)
Two races per round set up as follows:
Race One
- Server up 7pm UK
- 90 minute practice
- 5 minute private qualifying
- 30 minute race
Race Two
- Server up (around) 9:15pm UK
- 5 minute joining practice
- 5 minute private qualifying
- 30 minute race
Server Settings
- Open setup
- Normal fuel usage
- Normal tyre wear
- Tyre warmers on
- Allowed assists: racing line & auto clutch
- Real weather conditions locked in 2 days before the race
We have a transparent, robust and comprehansive stewarding format. All contact incidents are recorded and pulled from within lmu. these will all be reviewed by our stewarding team and this is recorded and posted on grdc tv so you can see how any stewwarding decisions are made. only non contact incidents need reporting.
