FRL Crossplay • SUPER SPRINT SUNDAY • season 18
Welcome back to the most exciting series on console, the Super Sprint Sunday, hosted by FRL featuring its race 2 reverse grid. The good news is it’s back again for another season with a tweaked qualifying format.
6 Rounds, 3 Tiers, 2 Races, 1 Overall Sprint Sunday Championship.
Schedule
All times are in U.K. time and all races will happen on a Sunday.
- Practice: 19:00 ( 60’ )
- Qualifying: 20:00 ( 15’ )
- Race 1: 20:20 ( 20’ )
- Short intermission: 20:45 ( 5’ )
- Race 2: 20:55 ( 40’ )
NEW QUALIFYING
- 15 Minute Session
- ONE SHOT QUALIFYING
- Qualifying is NOT split
- You have to find your gap. Pick the best spot for your lap
- The broadcast & commentary team will be able to show more qualifying laps.
- (This format may change if not successful during the course of the season)
Series Rules
The Grid will have 3 tiers:
Which one you sign up for will be determined by your FRL licence. Drivers in FRL discord will know their licence already. New drivers will need to apply for their FRL licence before being allowed to race. Pro licence holders sign up for Pro, Silver for Silver. The AM tier will be made up from Pro/Am & Am licence holders.
Drivers between tiers will have no priority system. All places on the grid are valid for battling. There is a championship for your tier but also an overall championship. Aim high!
Race format
- Qualifying decides the grid for race 1.
- Race 2 grid is formed by the reverse grid from race 1.
- You must have completed 2/3rds of the race in race 1 to be considered for reverse grid.
- If you didn’t you will start at the back.
Stewarding
All incidents are reported via a post race incident reporting system on FRL discord. Due to the nature of this it is required that all drivers must be able to acquire footage from their race, either a live stream or saved reply.
Liveries
At FRL we love all sorts of colours and wonderful cars. Real liveries are encouraged. Custom liveries are allowed. All new to FRL drivers must run an all white livery for their first season. This is to ensure FRL veteran drivers take more care until they know their opponents driving styles
Broadcast
All races will be broadcast LIVE on FRLRACEHUB on YouTube. This is subject to a commentator being confirmed for season 18.
