Coach Dave 6H of Le Mans

OVERVIEW

Welcome to the Coach Dave 6 Hours of Le Mans, our first one-off endurance event on... iRacing

With the IRL 24h of Le Mans coming up on 11th June, this race will be ramping up the excitement to one of the most iconic races in the world. Teams of between 2-6 drivers are required to enter this event and teams will get to choose between entering as an LMP2 or a GT3. Provisionally, there are spaces for 31 teams in each class.

REGISTRATION

To register for this event, click the "Register Team" button. On the next screen, select your team, the drivers of the car, the class you want to compete in, the car and the desired car #.

EVENT TIMETABLE

• Practice - 14:30 CEST
• Drivers Briefing - 14:35 CEST
• Qualifying - 15:30 CEST
• Race - 16:00 CEST

STEWARDING & SAFETY CAR

As the Coach Dave 6H of Le Mans is a fun, one-off event there will be no stewarding present. However, an admin will be present to monitor the sessions throughout.

The admin may also call out the Safety Car if deemed necessary. Safety Car regulations are covered in the Rules tab.

BROADCASTING

The qualifying and race will have broadcast and commentary on the SimGrid Youtube channel.

EVENT RULES

• Rolling Start
• Single File, Maintain Restarts (after Safety Car period)
• Fast Repairs: 1
• Driver Fair Share rule enabled
• Minimum Licence: Rookie 1.0
• First Warning after 25 Incidents Points, then every 20

WEATHER

The event will be run on in-sim date of May 29th 2022. The weather will be set to "Generate" and dynamic sky will be enabled. The sim time for each session can be seen in the schedule located on the "Races" tab.

CUSTOM LIVERIES

Teams are permitted to run with Custom Liveries, whether they be liveries made themselves or downloaded from sites such as Trading Paints. However, any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom livery will see the team banned from the race.
