North American Rush SR Cup - Thursday USA

Hosted by TRC - The Racing Club AC on PC Followers Only
  1. ETIQUETTE / CODE OF CONDUCT At TRC, we welcome drivers of all experience & abilities for competitive racing and a great time. Above all, we ask that you show respect to your fellow club members – both on track, in the Discord, and speaking in the Voice Chat channels. Whether it’s a casual race event or a full on sim championships, we just want everyone to find a communal, fun atmosphere for clean and competitive racing. Our club is only as good as its members, so if you have ideas or suggestions, please post them over in the questions-suggestions forum! Self-promotion of TRC-related content is acceptable in the appropriate channels, but we recommend members limit themselves to one self-promotional post per day. Like any post in the TRC discord, TRC Admins have the right to remove any self-promotional posts at their discretion. Discussion and promotion of other sim racing leagues and communities is not allowed in public TRC Discord channels without prior TRC Admin permission. Harassment, discrimination and hate speech will not be tolerated. Any form of those will result in a warning and mute, with repeated offenses leading to a permanent ban. (edited)Overtaking
  2. It is up to the overtaking driver to choose a SAFE location and time to overtake and complete the maneuver. The driver ahead is expected to brake predictably but it is the responsibility of the driver behind to avoid contact regardless of how early or late the driver ahead brakes. If alongside, both drivers are responsible for leaving each other space, and are expected to make sure they both get through the corner safely. You must give your fellow driver space if their front axle is alongside your rear axle, and vice versa.

    Defending

The car ahead is allowed to choose their line as long as the car behind is not alongside. Weaving under braking and brake checks are prohibited.

    Incidents / Contact

If you are involved in an incident, first be aware of other cars that may be navigating around you. Hold your brakes and be as predictable as possible. If you were at fault for the contact, own up to it! You will be given more respect for acknowledging your mistake and learning from it, than for keeping quiet and ignoring your impact on other drivers’ races. TRC does not have race stewards but we expect you to be respectful to others, whether that's in the voice chat or in post-race discussions. We expect you to resolve any disputes privately and respectfully with your fellow drivers. If you feel someone was at fault, and you didn't hear them apologize in the Voice Chat, please review your onboards/replays after the race before DMing them to discuss privately. We find that people are often much less upset after talking out incidents!

    Rejoining

Take your time and only rejoin if you can do so without risking contact with other drivers. Remember: If in doubt, don’t go out!
  3. Lapped / Blue Flagged

For drivers in the same class, the driver with blue flags is expected to move off the racing line and yield the position to the faster driver behind. Do not try to defend your position or block the faster driver behind you. If attempting to unlap yourself, communicate in the voice chat with the driver ahead to make clear your intentions. For drivers in a slower class, the driver with blue flags is expected to hold to the racing line and drive as predictable as possible. Drivers in the faster class are expected to overtake patiently and safely, using opportunities of their class advantage.

    Disconnect procedure

Unfortunately, game crashes and server disconnects may happen in sim racing. If you disconnect, it is up to the TRC event host’s discretion about whether to restart a server or event. Sometimes you’ll have to chock up a problem to misfortune, much like a mechanical failure in a real motorsports event!
